oMbiel are now looking for a Java Team Leader to join their successful team in Wolverhampton. WV10 9TG.

This is a great opportunity to build and further your career, oMbiel are a small fast growing company that has developed campusM™ – a suite of mobile applications for Universities that run on iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry and a mobile web app. campusM™ is used by over 20 UK Universities and we are looking to expand our customer base in the UK and internationally.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and mentor a small team of Java developers
  • Project manage campusM™ Implementations
  • Perform some of the technical activities for the implementation
  • campusM™ Product Development and R&D

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Java - Several years of Java and web service development experience (covering Axis2/JDBC/Spring/Spring MVC/WSDL/XSD)
  • Databases - Good SQL skills,
  • Good interpersonal Skills for customer facing workshops and onsite installation (typically 3 days per implementation)
  • Application Server Admin and deployment (covering Tomcat/Apache/Linux/SSL certificates)
